Job Description

A successful and growing business on the outskirts of Scarborough is looking for an Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus a fantastic benefits package, including 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), healthcare package, life insurance, generous pension contribution and attractive working hours, with an early finish on a Friday.

As an Accountant, you will:

• Deliver key financial and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports
• Develop and enhance dashboards for key stakeholders
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes
• Analyse gross margin, profitability, and key business metrics
• Improve financial reporting processes for greater efficiency and insight
• Provide valuable financial support to senior leaders across the business

To be successful in this Accountant role, you will ideally:

• Hold or be studying towards a finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar FP&A, analyst, management accountant or financial reporting role
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial modelling
• Have a solid understanding of P&L, profitability, and key financial metrics
• Have the ability to work collaboratively and communicate financial insights effectively
