About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support schools across Scarborough on a day-to-day, ad-hoc basis. This flexible role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with pupils who need extra support to engage in their learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour on a one-to-one or small group basis.
  • Assist in implementing individual behaviour plans.
  • Work closely with class teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions among pupils.
  • Adapt to different school settings and build rapport quickly with staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (essential).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to schools within the Scarborough area.
  • A calm and patient approach to handling challenging situations.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
